One of the best things about our little house in Seattle is the neighborhood it's in. It's in a historic district called Ballard with adorable homes and shops and parks. Every day we take long walks around the neighborhood, finding new places to eat and play and enjoying the chilly June air.
Tonight at dinnertime we wandered out of the house, trusting that we'd find somewhere good to eat and were not disappointed. We stopped at a small Italian place with a server who wore a lot of perfume and reminded me of the girl from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." She was extremely sweet and attentive, and the food was AMAZING.
We started out with hummus that we inhaled in about 2 minutes flat. Best hummus ever.
Then lasagna:
And pesto:
And pizza:
After we were completely stuffed, we walked over to QFC to buy a few groceries. Calvin decided we needed some mini-donuts, which we happily ate in the back yard as we enjoyed a short reprieve from the rain.
