This week the heat has been oppressive (seriously, like a heat index of 110 with 100% humidity) so we went to the community pool several times and Calvin loved it. He discovered that he could splash and kick his legs to propel himself forward. We got him a little floating chair with a sun shade over it that keeps him from getting burned and allows him a small amount of independence. So far we've just been enjoying the experience and not taking any pictures, so I'll post them when we have them. We decided that rather than going to the big pool every day, we would put some water closer to home, so we bought Calvin a small wading pool for the back deck. Once we filled it up and let it sit for a day, it felt more like a hot tub than a cool dip, but he really enjoys it.
